Costco: The land of dreams. Endless aisles of all of your favorite food at discount prices and household items in bulk. It’s a world where a parent on a budget can finally buy all of the toilet paper one needs for their family, all while snacking on free samples like a veritable king. Some people love the wholesale giant so much they even choose to get married there. And a recent customer satisfaction survey even found that Costco has dethroned the online retail giant Amazon as people’s favorite place to shop online.
So it makes sense that when dad Tom Musto visited Costco for the first time ever as an adult, he must have felt like a kid who found his way to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. On Sunday, one of his kids posted a video of him gushing about his shopping experience, and it immediately went viral, getting over 40,000 retweets in less than two days.

Some of the items he was especially excited about were a) water, b) marinara sauce, and c) a bunch of sausages (“EIGHT BUCKS!” he cries). Looks like someone might be getting a Costco membership for his birthday.
Fellow Costco lovers really related to his utter elation and his super-sweet response to something seemingly mundane. After all, isn’t the beauty of life all in the little things?

Some people shared videos of bringing their friends to Costco and the equally ecstatic way they reacted to the low prices for bulk items.

And the original poster shared a tweet saying that Costco Dad, as he will now be known on the Internet, was super stoked about the response to the video.
Thank you all for being nice to my dad. He was excited to hear all the surprisingly nice things the internet said about him. If you’d like to send him some well wishes on here or Instagram his handle is @tmusto7
